Now hiring: trowel-trade bricklayer (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Ohio County, Kentucky. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. The role involves: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Six days a week, one day off.
