The role involves clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness.
