Cnc lathe operator — Cambridgeshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Cambridgeshire, England. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Ideal candidate: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts Your main tasks: • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. We offer £3,200 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
