Urgent requirement: we are hiring an elevator technician in Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska. The role involves set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
