Garment machinist wanted in Barbour County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Barbour County, Alabama. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day-to-day duties: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
