Vacancy available: we are hiring a gardener in Geary County, Kansas. You will work in a public park. You should have: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules On the job you will handle: • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed Full-time, day shift.
