Banksman — Yakutat City and Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller 5+ years on the tools preferred.
