Immediate opening: argon arc welder (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Terrell County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Six days a week, one day off.
