Urgent requirement: argon arc welder (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Champaign County, Illinois. The role involves back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
