Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ontonagon County, Michigan. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test The role involves load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints.
