Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Fayette County, Alabama. You will work at a textile finishing unit. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases On a typical shift you will give each garment a final press before packing; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number.
