Stainless steel welder • Sampson County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Sampson County, North Carolina. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day You will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
