Aluminium tig welder wanted in Cheshire West and Chester

Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Cheshire West and Chester, England. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. £14 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
