Fire and safety officer • Pierce County, Washington

Now hiring: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Pierce County, Washington. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience.
