Aluminium tig welder wanted in Hardin County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Hardin County, Illinois. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
