Lift mechanic • City of Salem, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift mechanic in City of Salem, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics On the job you will handle: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
