Fabricator-welder wanted in Westchester County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Westchester County, New York. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes 6+ years on the tools preferred.
