Urgent requirement: sample machinist (Kano State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Rano, Kano State. The job is at a busy garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Rotating shifts.
