Immediate opening: food packing operative (Indiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a food packing operative in Porter County, Indiana. The job is in a cold-storage packing unit. Day to day you will check best-before and expiry dates on every box; change over film rolls and reset the heat sealer; apply labels, barcodes and batch codes to each pack; weigh and portion products before bagging; inspect packs for leaks, dents or damaged seals; count units and confirm the correct quantity per carton. What we are looking for: • Basic numeracy for counting and recording quantities • Understanding of basic food hygiene for food packing • Comfortable working at speed to meet line targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
