Ladle pourer wanted in Colbert County

Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Colbert County, Alabama. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
