Precision welder wanted in Clearwater County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Clearwater County, Idaho. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion.
