Foundry labourer wanted in Adams County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Adams County, Indiana. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On the job you will handle: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
