Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Martin County, Minnesota. You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 2+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
