Gas installation technician — Bureau County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Bureau County, Illinois. You will be based in customers' homes and kitchens. On the job you will handle: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints You should have: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
