Steel fixer wanted in Kleberg County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Kleberg County, Texas. You will be based on a busy residential building site. On the job you will handle: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
