Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Hancock County, West Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard The role involves: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Six days a week, one day off.
