Now hiring: we are hiring a cement mason in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska. You will be based on a road and bridge project. The role involves give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms. You should have: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift.
