Immediate opening: steel erection rigger (Indiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Fountain County, Indiana. The job is at a shipyard. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
