Now hiring: occupational health and safety officer (West Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Wood County, West Virginia. You will be based on a high-rise building project. Requirements: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations On the job you will handle: • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height Rotating shifts. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
