Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a pipeline and trenching crew. You should have: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs Day to day you will carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient. 4+ years on the tools preferred. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
