Horticulturist — McCormick County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a horticulturist in McCormick County, South Carolina. You will be based in a botanical garden. On the job you will handle: • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste What we are looking for: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
