Landscape gardener wanted in Cherokee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a landscape gardener in Cherokee County, Alabama. You will be based in a botanical garden. You should have: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules The role involves repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $6,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
