Ladle pourer wanted in Tyrrell County

Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Tyrrell County, North Carolina. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Six days a week, one day off.
