You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Your main tasks: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
