We are recruiting: argon welder (Colorado)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Routt County, Colorado. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters 5+ years on the tools preferred.
