Fire and safety officer — The Scottish Borders

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate The role involves enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site.
