Aluminium TIG welder • Knowsley, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Knowsley, England. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
