Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. You will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
