Now hiring: foundry labourer (South Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Greenville County, South Carolina. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
