Fabricator-welder — Hopkins County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Hopkins County, Texas. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE 1+ years on the tools preferred. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
