We are recruiting: meat cutter (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a meat cutter in Wyoming County, New York. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; season and marinate meat on request; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
