Fire and safety officer — Newton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Newton County, Texas. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
