Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Blair County, Pennsylvania. You will work on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
