Sample machinist • Uruan, Akwa Ibom State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Uruan, Akwa Ibom State. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance 2+ years on the tools preferred.
