Site safety steward wanted in Saint Clair County

Join our team: we are hiring a site safety steward in Saint Clair County, Illinois. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day-to-day duties: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
