Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test You will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
