Vacancy available: aluminium tig welder (Michigan)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Saint Clair County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium You will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). 1+ years on the tools preferred.
