Brick and block layer wanted in Cleburne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Cleburne County, Alabama. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
