Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment presser in Fulton County, Indiana. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Your main tasks: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Performance bonus on top of base pay.
