Urgent requirement: pipe tig welder (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Eilean Siar, Scotland. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Part-time with flexible hours.
